Welcome to Run the Data! It’s a blog about data, machine learning, and running.
The Blog
Run The Data deals with the practical aspects of being a Data professional in tech. You’ll find insights from Machine Learning techniques and coding practices to tooling and career development. The goal is to help fellow engineers navigate their career.
The posts here will specifically shed light on my experience applying Machine Learning in industry. Now more than ever, there is an endless stream of content and educational material available online. While there won’t be groundbreaking truths unveiled, my perspective will add color to topics to help others on their own journeys.
Author
I’m Ryne, a Machine Learning Engineer and avid runner in NYC. I have a PhD in Physics and worked at the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland before leaving academia. Since then, I’ve been largely working in Fintech. I’ve worked on a wide range of ML applications from Growth to Risk. Besides modeling, I also contribute to ML infrastructure and tooling.
I often find myself trying to apply intuition and data-driven techniques from my career to my running and vice versa. This blog was born out of my desire to distill and share thoughts from both worlds.
